Tempe Union High School District

Strategic Real Estate Planning and Implementation

The Process:

FDSG provides a Strategic Real Estate Planning and Implementation approach to School District’s in an effort to maximize revenue from under-utilized District owned property.  This planning effort provides a sound business platform by which staff and Governing Board can make informed decisions in repurposing property, not required to meet the District’s academic mission, while creating a revenue source to augment the District’s academic and facility needs.

The Benefit:

With the significant decline in State funding for schools, a sound real estate business model can assist a District in the generation of additional dollars for the students.  Our clients are able to convert property that is no longer required to meet the District’s academic mission into revenue producing development for the benefit of the District.  Every additional dollar created increases the funds available for facility construction and/or maintenance and operating needs.

The Outcome:

This planning and implementation approach is designed to take a critical look at under-utilized District property from an experienced real estate planning and development team and to provide the District with a planning tool and an implementation partner to achieve the desired outcomes as quickly as possible.
